TALENT AND KNOWLEDGE CO-OPERATION EVENT
OMA and IED introduced their new collaboration at “Artigianato e Palazzo”, an annual event that takes place inGiardinoCorsiniin Florencefrom the 16th of May to the 19th. The collaboration finished with a Cocktail Party on 18th May 2013 that really well highlighted the importance of this exhibition.
During the exhibition dedicated to the excellence in Tuscan artisanal techniques and antique crafts, IED and OMA will present “Talent and Knowledge Co-operation”: the innovative project that involved IED students working with the new upcoming artisans from OmAVentiquaranta association.
After a months-long collaboration, the students were able to create a communication strategy for artisans to which they were assigned. The artisans of OmAVentiquaranta are the most committed of the young Tuscan handicraft activities. The IED student aid, as regards the communication of each brand, has granted to the artisans to get a broader vision of the world of communication and promotion, thanks to tips and tricks have failed to improve the brand identity and their reputation in Tuscany. Made in Italy and the significance of the unique and unrepeatable, were the main issues on which the students worked. The interpretation of the students gave the guests of the event the opportunity to watch the work of young craftsmen in real time. Video, screened during the event ,filmed the craftsmen while they worked on the products in their laboratories. This has undoubtedly emphasised the concept of Made in Italy and the product unique.
One of the main projects that IED Students managed was focused on an in depth analysis on the OMA’s Master Artisan, Irma Schwegler, the designer of Old Fashion Sartoria, creating a showcase for this event. The task of the students, was to promote the philosophy and the fabric used by the Italo-Swiss designer. Casentino, the typical Tuscan wool used by Irma Schwegler, will be reinterpreted through handmade chandeliers and mannequins to evoke the atmosphere of the countryside thanks to an irreverent mix of images, colours and fabrics. The presence of this type of arrangement gave to the event and to the location an innovative image and at the same time easily connectable to the context in which the OMA stand is located. The students, with success, tryed to promote the uniqueness of the Casentino fabric thanks to images depicting the typical Tuscan landscape, reinterpreted and characterized by mixed fabrics of Casentino. They were able so to give images a youthful and innovative touch. Besides images, after creating examples of outfits with the same type of fabric, the space OMA has been set up with mannequins decorated with Casentino, who encouraged guests to touch the quality of the fabric.
During the event, the catering has provided great service restaurant and bar. The rappresentative of the respective association, IED and OMA, introduced the work done by the students during the last few months, having a great success by all the audience.

OMA e IED sono stati lieti di presentare la nuova partnership durante “Artigianato e Palazzo”, un evento annuale che si è svolge presso Giardino Corsini a Firenze dal 16 al 19 Maggio. La collaborazione è terminata il 18 maggio 2013 con un Cocktail Party che ha pienamente esaltato e comunicato l’importanza di questa mostra.
Durante la mostra, dedicata alle tradizioni e alle tecniche artigianali toscane, gli studenti IED hanno presentato “Talent and Knowledge Co-operation”: il progetto innovativo che gli ha visti protagonisti in collaborazione con gli artigiani emergenti dell’associazione OmAVentiquaranta.
Dopo una collaborazione durata mesi, gli studenti sono stati in grado di creare una strategia comunicativa per artigiani a cui erano stati assegnati. Gli artigiani di OmAVentiquaranta costituiscono la parte più impegnata della giovane attività di artigianato toscano. L’aiuto degli studenti IED, per quanto riguarda la parte comunicativa di ogni brand, ha concesso agli artigiani di ottenere una visone più vasta del mondo comunicativo e della promozione, grazie a consigli e suggerimenti sono riusciti a migliorare l’identità del brand e la loro reputazione sul territorio toscano. Il made in Italy e il significato del prodotto unico e irripetibile, sono stati i punti principali sui quali gli studenti hanno lavorato. L’interpretazione di questi ultimi ha dato la possibilità agli ospiti dell’evento di assistere al lavoro dei giovani artigiani in presa diretta. Video, proiettati durante l’evento riprendevano gli artigiani mentre lavoravano sui prodotti nei rispettivi laboratori. Questo ha senza dubbio enfatizzato il concetto di made in Italy e del prodotto unico ed irripetibile.
Un altro dei principali progetti, sui quali hanno lavorato gli studenti, si è focalizzato sulla creazione di uno showcase durante l’evento e sull’analisi approfondita dell’OMA Master Artisan, Irma Schwegler, la designer del brand Old Fashion Sartoria. Il compito degli studenti, è stato quello di promuovere la filosofia e il tessuto utilizzato dalla designer italo-svizzera. Il Casentino infatti, la tipica lana toscana usata da Irma Schwegler, è stato reinterpretato attraverso manichini e lampadari fatti a mano, per evocare l’atmosfera della campagna, grazie ad un mix irriverente d’immagini, colori e tessuti. La presenza di questo tipo di allestimento ha dato all’ambiente e all’evento un’immagine innovativa e allo stesso tempo facilmente collegabile al contesto in cui lo stand OMA si trovava. Gli studenti hanno, con successo, cercato di promuovere la particolarità del tessuto Casentino grazie ad immagini, raffiguranti i tipici paesaggi toscani, reinterpretate e caratterizzate da tessuti misti di casentino. Sono riusciti così ha dare alle immagini un tocco giovanile e innovativo. Oltre alle immagini, dopo aver creato esempi di outfit con la stessa tipologia di tessuto, lo spazio OMA è stato allestito con manichini decorati con casentino, che hanno incentivato gli ospiti a toccare con mano la qualità del tessuto.
Durante l’evento, il catering ha offerto un ottimo servizio di ristorazione e bar. Gli enti delle rispettive associazione, IED e OMA, hanno introdotto il lavoro svolto dagli studenti durante questi ultimi mesi, riscontrando un grande successo da parte di tutto il pubblico.-Attraverso il tatto, l’olfatto, il suono e l’immagine è stato possibile sperimentare la combinazione di un innovativo e tradizionale modo di comunicare.

Nowadays Twitter is becoming one of the most important social networks in all over the world. A lot of companies use it to communicate with the audience and to promote their own brands in a many different ways. Somebody decides to post photo and video, others getting more followers try to export their products in every part of the world. As you can understand, strategies are many and every single account wants to promote itself as best as it can. Today we’ll speak about the ten most influential people on twitter, everything will be related to the fashion world. This people could be fashion companies as VIP people as fashion magazine, everybody has the possibility to change and influence the fashion world.
1.I would like to start speaking about CHANEL. As a very important fashion brand, Chanel has a twitter account. It has a really large number of followers, one of the biggest in twitter, but in the same time it has become the most influential for the number of media reactions, retweet and the most mentioned as twitter company profile.
2.The second one I would like to talk about is RIHANNA. As everybody knows, Rihanna has become one of the most famous singers and pop stars in the entire world. On twitter she has more than 28 million of followers, it can let you understand how much this person could be influential on twitter. Starting from the last London Fashion Week 2013 Rihanna has entered in the world fashion collaborating with River Island and setting up a really big event. After that I fell free to write that this girl deserves to be part of the list of the most influential people on twitter.
3.VOGUE MAGAZINE. Without a doubt it’s the most famous fashion magazine in the world. Also on twitter it has earned a place in this category. It gets more than 1 million of followers and in the same time follows more then 1 thousand of followings. This gives to this account the possibility to interact with a lot of people tweeting a lot of stuff everyday and associating it with a lot of photos and video to get the attention of the audience.
4.MARIECLAIRE. This is an other example of a magazine that has reached a lot of success on twitter. The method of judging is the same of Vogue, but if we want to talk about the number of tweet everyday, Marie Claire exceeds Vogue.
5.Now I’d like to introduce a very important brand, known in the entire world, GUCCI. I chose this user became in the time he has become the most followed Italian brand. In fact it present something like seven hundred thousand of followers. In Italy it is the brand that has found more success and like an Italian blogger I can image that there are a lot of Italian people like me who like interacting with Gucci and for sure that’s the reason why it get so many followers.
6.VICTORIA’S SECRET. Are speaking about the most beautiful super models in the world and the most exciting fashion events ever, yes, you’re talking about Victoria’s Secret. Certainly it’s the most fashionable brand in this moment and this is also reflected in social media. It has reached almost 2 million of followers. This user alternates photos and video where shows the new campaign. It uses the beauty of the models, known in the entire world, to get the more audience and followers if we want to speak about twitter.
7.BUSINESS OF FASHION. The blogger and the blog have a really big importance in the social network and for this reason Business of fashion has became an important icon for the fashion world also on twitter. I chose this user cause on my opinion is one of the most influential and tweeting it is able to update and write news 24 hours 24 on everything related to fashion. It has reached almost six hundred thousand of followers and deserves to be part of this ranking.
8.MIRANDA KERR. Who doesn’t know this name? Everybody has heard this name at least just one time. She is well known like the most important super model of Victoria’s Secret but in the same time this super girl has been able to create a big business behind her figure. After marrying Orlando Bloom he created a cosmetics line, which together her model life in the fashion events and on the magazine fill her days. Miranda enters right in this ranking
9.BURBERRY. This fashion brand has the great number of followers (1.700.000). In addition to being the most followed user it is in the same time one the most important fashion company in the world. Certainly I couldn’t leave that outside the top ten.
10.DKNY PR GIRL. It’s considered the most interactive fashion user in twitter. That does explain why it has a lot number of followers but in the same time it has decided to follow many people. This certainly makes sure that Dkny PR Girl will be able to interact and exchange news and updates with all the following and followers.

Being Sociable in the Fashion World
Fashion world? These words make Gianmarco feels good every time he hears them. He doesn’t know too much about this world, but just the few things he know about this market make he sure that one day this guy will be part of it. Since Gianmarco was young he always loved fashion and everything that is involved around it.
He has always been attracted by the fashion events and all the actions that make the fashion events real. In the same time, He has always been so curious about the public relationship and about how this kind of actions give to the companies the possibility to create and set up big events and amazing nights. Gianmarco has always thought just about the public relationship and the events in the fashion world because the most important and brilliant skills this guy has should be used in this kind of sector. Creating new relationship, being sociable and the ease of communicating with people made him sure that working in the public relationship will make him future job easier and more satisfied. So today we are going to speak about the sociality and the ease of communicating and how Gianmarco should use his skills to have success in the fashion world.
First of all it’s important to say that the sociality it’s a gift that not everybody has and someone has more and others less. This gift is really important when you have to relate with other people in the work world as in the normal life. The sociality works like a business card that can make you interesting when you approach with other people and gives you the possibility to go ahead speaking about what you want without anyone stops you. It could sound like a relationship between a buyer and a seller, but in the fashion world is not always like that. Being interesting and sociable in the same time gives you the possibility to do your work easier. We would need to take an example to relate the sociability and the ease to communicate in fashion. For example you have to be involved in a several actions of public relationship to set up a big event for you company in a foreign country like China or Japan. You don’t know anything about the people you are going to work with and in the same time you don’t know anything about the country where you are going to work in and even more you haven’t heard anything about its culture. Working with people from foreign country make you realize that not all behaviors are the same, you should be smart to understand how you have to behave with specific kind of people. The ease to communicate and sociability allows you to be always one step forward of others. Being sociable doesn’t make you scared about create relationship with people you have never known and with people that don’t have the same culture or language. When you are willing to do something, also if it isn’t easy, you will be always right and the first impression that the people have about you will be always good. Taking the fashion example, being willing to meet and communicate with new people as colleague, will make your job easier to do and well done at the end. When this kind of person you are going to work with, everything you have to do to make the fashion event real and important, feels that you are willing to work with him, starting to work and communicate will be easier for both of you. This example could be related also for the people as colleague that live in your same country.
Not always being sociable makes your job easier. Sometimes the ease to communicate and the sociability are really useful to fix a situation that is going to finish badly or to avoid discussing about something that involved your work decision. Speaking about the fashion world you have to be smart to know when you have to use your ability to socialize and create new relationship or socialize and avoid destroying a relationship you have already created. You and an important stylist are talking about a location where you want to present a specific kind of advertising campaign. You don’t agree with your partner and in the same time you know that your decision is better. At this moment you need the ability to communicate to give you the possibility to make your partner sure about your decision and in the same time try to get him to take this decision without stopping to work with you. It seems to be easy but t is not always. So many times you need to relate with difficult people and that is unlikely to change their mind. The ease to communicate helps you to get out this kind of situation. Working without problems or any kind of pressure make your final work more beautiful and presentable.
Most of the workers in their career have been found to work in group or in a team. Also Gianmarco one day will be involved in a work team where if you work hard and in the right way the result will be satisfactory for everybody. Here he will have the possibility to use his capacity to communicate and being sociable to let the group works better and sometimes makes decision that no one else wants to take. This could give to Gianmarco a big role in the team and why not the possibility to start to manage it.
Growing up he realized that the ease to communicate and create relationship were two of my most important skill. These skills could be related from every kind of job and work world you want to work in. As we already wrote Gianmarco loves the fashion world and he hopes that one day these skills allow him to have success in this market and permit him to work with passion and serenity. Being sociable means you have the power to convince the people easier and the chance to create beautiful relationship with every kind of people from all over the world. Being aware of that means you should use your skills to improve your working environment and in the same time try to live with honesty and fairness with all the people around you. Luckily he has the chance to use it and this future fashion worker hopes to use it in the best way he can helping himself to live better and to find work satisfactory.
